If you are looking for something like Dark Mode on your iPhone or iPad, we suggest your try out the Smart invert feature. It is the closest that you can get on your iPod, iPad, and iPhone. You won’t be able to enjoy this feature on iOS 10, as the feature was is incorporated in iOS 11 and above. In this accessibility feature, the Operating system tends to invert colors of the user interface while keeping the format and colors of the certain content intact. The content includes graphics of your App Store app, images in your Photo apps and a couple of other things.

The feature is also smart enough to differentiate between the colors of your wallpaper and other accessories like Dock’s color etc. It will not invert the colors of your wallpaper, however, things like iOS Status bar, colors of the Dock, and a number of other parts will be reverted into the dark mode.

The feature is smart, and we are sure that iOS will do its best to detect content that shouldn’t be inverted, but you need to understand that it is a computer after all. Don’t expect miracles at the moment. However, with 5-10 iterations of the feature, we are sure it will become nearly perfect.Inverted web page colors in Safari including text and images is an example of Smart Invert. Another example is the inverted cover artwork in the Apple Music app, we can assure you that it does not look good.
