Kodi is the best way to organize and streamline your media, may it be on television, laptop, computer or your smartphone. It is an open source media centre which caters to your need to keep your stuff in one place or at many places at one time. Kodi boxes, however, are not something fully endorsed by Kodi developers since they come with Kodi app already installed in them and the add-ons available are also pirated and not at all supported by Kodi developers.

For all the legal stuff of which you can take advantage, it is quite easy to set up Kodi on your Android smartphone and use it whenever you want.

Kodi and Chromecast:

Chromecast is the device that attaches your phone or laptop or computer with the TV screen and you can easily cast anything that is being played on your smartphone or laptop and on any social network site or video streaming site. Kodi doesn’t work with Chromecast directly but you can easily screencast your device’s screen with the TV and play whatever media you want from Kodi and enjoy it on the big screen.

Kodi and Add-ons:

Kodi comes with a deafukt add-on browser that allows you to choose from a list of media channels like Reddit, USAtv, YouTube and whatnot and add and install these media to your Kodi list of media. This implies that it is not only your personal media that gets organized with Kodi but you can use add-ons for more entertainment.

You are able to do this through remote add-on repository as well as in online website but that hinders legality. Piracy is on full swing with remote add-on repositories so it would be solely your responsibility if you choose to install add-ons from not within Kodi.

You have to go Kodi’s main menu and tap on the ‘Add-ons’ menu and a list of all the built-in add-ons shall appear on the left side of your device’s screen. All you have to do is choose an add-on of your choice and select it and then tap on ‘Install’.
