If you want to keep your Android up to date then you have to check for the Android software update on your device. Recently this week Google has published Android 7.1.2 updates for its Pixel and Nexus lineup. These updates contain only fixes to Bluetooth connectivity, battery life time improvements, some other minor bug fixes and improved fingerprint swipe performance. These updates are only for Pixel and Nexus devices. You can easily upgrade your Google Pixel to Android via OTA(Over-the-air programming) OR by using factory images.

Recommended Prerequisites to install Android 7.1.2 updates for Google Pixel:

1. If you want to install Android 7.1.2 updates successfully then you have to follow some prerequisites are as follow
2. Take complete backup of your important data on your Pixel device
3. Download install Pixel device USB drivers on your computer
4. Unlock Pixel bootloader
5. You also need to install Android SDK with ADB and Fastboot command working on your computer.
6. Go to Menu>Setting>Application >Navigation and tap on Developer Option to enable USB Debugging
7. Your Pixel device must have at least 70% charging.

Step by Step guide-To Update Google Pixel to Android 7.1.2 N2G47E:

Following are the steps :
1)Downloads the Required Files
You need to download following factory images for your Pixel or Pixel XL from the link shared below
For Pixel Android 7.1.2:    Download Factory Images

2)Using a USB Cable connect your Pixel device with your computer and turn it off also make sure that Fastboot has installed on the computer.
3)Start the device in Fastboot mode: Turn on the phone by pressing volume up and down key until a Fastboot menu and START text appearing on screen.
4)Extract Android 7.1.2 Downloaded file on your PC. Now GO to “_N2547E_” folder and Copy past all the files to your Fastboot directory(Which often is the platform-tools folder inside the Android SDK directory)
5)In this final step, open the Fastboot folder where all the Nougat factory files were copied. Go to address bar and type cmd and following commands written below and press enter
Run flash-all.bat (for Windows)
Run flash-all.sh using Terminal (for Mac systems)
Run flash-all.sh using Terminal (Linux)
Your Pixel device will reboot when script running get finishing. First boot may take up to 5 minutes or longer.

You have successfully updated your Google Pixel device to Android 7.1.2 N2G47E. You can also Root your Google Pixel device to Android 7.1.2 N2G47E.
