Samsung has always been the bride’s maid and never the bride itself, but it seems that things are changing. The company has finally decided to come up with products that will take Android expectation to a completely new level. Each year they come up with something amazing like the curved edge phone or a water resistant one. They did not fail with their upcoming flagship device Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

You might think that Samsung Note 8 is another name for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. There is the only addition of S Pen. This might be true to some extent, but it is not as simple as it may seem. The phone might have the look of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, but it for sure has some outstanding features.

These features along with improved hardware is what makes this phone different than the S8 Plus. In this article, we are going to provide you with a complete review of Note 8.

Color availability

The phone is bigger and better especially in areas that really matter. The phone is currently available in four different colors, including Blue, Gold, Grey, and Black. For US market, the company has decided to sell only the Black and the Grey piece. Whereas other regions are going to get most of the colors. If you ask us, we believe the blue and black to be the perfect colors for Note 8.

Hardware and Display

The phone does look and feel big. The screen is similar to what was offered by Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus i.e. 56.3 inches. Which is pretty big when compared to previous notes that had a 5.7-inch display. The display is according to the modern trends, it is narrower and taller and the curves have been dialed back a tad. This changes the overall look of the phone, it seems squarer as compared to S8. The phone is thicker and taller as compared to Note 7 or Note 6.

The physical buttons are being replaced by soft ones and then we have something equivalent to the home button tucked under the screen. Bixby is another interesting feature that will make your overall Note experience an amazing one.

Another interesting feature is the S Pen in the Live message. It lets the user write a short message and converts that not an animated GIF. To add more flair to it, you can use different effects such as neon lighting or sparkles. You might think that it is not a productive addition, but it for sure is fun to have around.

Memory, Battery, and Connectivity

The phone comes with 6 GB RAM which is sufficient for running this mini-computer. It will ensure that you have a smooth experience with the phone. Also, the Snapdragon 835 keeps the phone as far as it should be, but the real thing is the RAM. This is the first time that Samsung has crossed their threshold of 4GB RAM.

To power this powerful phone, the battery should be world class. This is exactly what Samsung had in mind while incorporating the 3,300 mAh non-removable battery. It offers Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth, Type-C USB and much more.

Camera and Software

The phone comes with a 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual camera sensor. Whereas the front camera of the phone is 8MP with f/1.7 aperture. Both these cameras are simply amazing. Together they will let you capture every moment to its fullest. They also offer some really cool Camera features, you will discover them once you start fiddling with the phone.

The software of the phone is similar to S8. It is as streamlined as ever. Despite its simplicity, the OS is amazing and offers many features. Most of the updates are happening in Bixby and it is said that the assistant and Bixby are going to evolve with time.
