Below are the steps, you should first read them carefully and then get on with the rooting process. Before you start, make sure that you have everything listed under “To Remember” heading.

To Remember:
This tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G955F.
You have made a backup of your data.
You phone should not be on custom ROM, it should be on official firmware by Samsung.
Your phone should have XXU1AQCA Android 7.0 Nougat Firmware.

Complete Instructions:

Step 1- To start with, you need to download CF-Auto-Root for your S8 Plus on your PC. The file will be a zip file, you need to extract it.

Note: Your flash counter is incremented when you use this root, to reset the counter you should run Triangle away once you are done rooting you S8. In case you are running a custom recovery or kernel, the flash counter will become one every time you boot your phone. You can reset the counter when you plan to go into warranty or you can configure Triangle away in a way that it resets the counter on with every reboot.

Step 2- Download the Odin software for your smartphone.

Step 3- Turn off the phone and enter the download mode by pressing and holding the home button along with the volume down button. After that, you need to press the power button and wait till you see a Waring screen. To enter the Download mode, you need to press the volume up button again.

Step 4- Open Odin on your system and then connect your phone and your laptop using a USB cable.

Step 5- You will see the ID:COM box turn yellow along with a COM port number on the Odin interface. This will happen if your phone get connected successfully.

Step 6- To select the file that you extracted in Step 1, you need to click on PDA/AP and then choose the extracted file. 

Step 7- If you haven’t already enabled the Auto Reboot and F-Reset times option in Odin, you need to do it now.

Step 8- Now click on start in Odin to instigate the rooting process. This might take a couple of minutes.

Step 9- After the procedure is completed, your phone is will automatically reboot itself in the recovery mode and it will flash the root package files. Then the ID:COM box will also change color. It will become green.

Step 10- Once you see the home screen, you need to disconnect your phone from the PC. Your phone is now rooted, you can have fun with it!
