Samsung Galaxy S8 is finally out and the developers are dying to get their hands on it. What more they want is to root this amazing device and test its limits. We have already detailed an article on updating Galaxy S8 to the latest Android 7.0 XXU1AQG5 Nougat firmware and now in the article, we will teach you an effective way to root XXU1AQG5 Android 7.0 on your Samsung Galaxy S8 G950F. It is imperative that you need to update your phone to Android XXU1AQG5 Nougat Firmware before you get on with the implementing process. We will be using CF-Auto-Root and ODIN to root the phone. Instead of wasting more time, let’s get started!

CF-Auto-Root Method:

It is said to be the safest root method available and it works perfectly well with the new S8. Due to the fact, that is not dependent on a single built, it has the ability to support Android 7.0 as well as many future firmware updates. It is basically a called the rooting for beginner’s software. It is used in combination of the stock Samsung firmware and the most effective and efficient way to do your first root.

1- USB Drivers: Make sure that you have installed Samsung Galaxy S8 USB drivers on your computer. 
2- Backup: You might lose your data while rooting your phone, therefore it is important that you make a backup of your data. 
3- Enable USB Debugging Mode: If you are unable to connect your phone to your PC, it is because you have not enabled the USB debugging mode. Before, you start with the installation process please enable the USB debugging mode on your Samsung Galaxy S8.

To Remember:
1- This tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S8 G905F, it might not work with other variants of the phone. 
2- Your phone should not be on custom ROM, it should be on official firmware by the company. 
3- Your Samsung Galaxy S8 should have XXU1AQG5 Android 7.0 firmware.

Complete Instructions:

Step 1- Start with downloading You then need to extract this file on your computer. The CF-Auto-Root should be for your phone and to check, you need to know the model number of your S8.

Step 2- Download the Odin software on your computer as this will aid you in the rooting process.

Step 3- Turn off your phone and turn it back on into the download mode. To enter this mode, you need to press and hold the Bixby button and the volume down button. After that, press the power button until you see a warning on the screen. Then to enter the download mode, press the volume up button.

Step 4- While the phone is still in the download mode, connect it to your PC. But before that launch Odin on your computer.

Step 5- You will see ID:COM boxes turning yellow when you phone get successfully connected. You will also be able to see a COM port number. However, this step usually takes some time.

Step 6- To select the file that you extracted in Step 1, you need to click on PDA/AP and then choose the extracted file.

Step 7- Enable the F.Reset and Auto Reboot options.

Step 8- To begin the rooting process, click on the start button in Odin and wait for a couple of minutes.

Step 9- Your phone will enter the recovery mode automatically, once the rooting process is completed. It will then automatically install the root package files. With this, the ID:COM box present in the Odin will also turn green.

Once you see the home screen, disconnect your phone from your PC and you are done.
