To make the sure that the user enjoys the overall experience of Xposed Framework the company has an official repository. This means that you can download anything from this repository and then easily search or access it in the download section of your Xposed installer app. However, there is one problem. Not all modules are available in the Xposed repository,  on the contrary, the most interesting ones are available on a third-party server.

Third-party modules are installed different as compared to the Xposed repository modules. Besides this, it is pretty difficult to find these modules also one worries about the download source. Of course you would not want to download a module that will somehow corrupt your system. So what are you to do? In this article, we are going to tell you different authentic sources for downloading modules and their installation method.

Where to find unofficial modules

Lets start with finding the right places for downloading unofficial modules. If you search the internet we are pretty sure that you will come across a number of places that will let you download third-party modules, but we can’t guarantee their authenticity. There are some places that are great for downloading the modules.

The first place that we recommend is XDA. There are a number of places in XDA on which you can look for your desired modules. You will be surprised by the wide variety of things there. Our favorite thread is GermainZ, it contains categorized modules, making it easy for you to search for anything you want.

The second best place is the XDA modules forum. If you were unable to find the module that you were looking for in the thread, we are pretty sure you will find it in the forum. The forum has pages and pages of threads and each thread is dedicated to a specific module.

How to install third-party modules

Once you have found the module that you are looking for, the next step is to download it. For downloading follow the steps below.

  1. Search for the desired module.
  2. Look for the download link. It is usually present at the bottom of the first post in any linked thread.
  3. Click on the link and the module will start to download. The modules are like any regular APK files.
  4. Launch it from the file browser or simply tap on the download complete notification option and finally tap on install.
  5. The rest is the same as installing from the official repository. That is it, you are done!
