Motorola has recently released the official update of Android 7.0 Nougat for its model Moto X-Force and it comes with multi-window function, longer battery life, better app speed and much more. The best way to use an Android smartphone is to keep your OS updated all the time so that you may not miss the thrill of the latest Android.

However, the latest official update has been rolled out by Motorola over the OTA making it impossible for all the users around the globe to receive the update on their Moto X-Force and this is where we come in. If you are not good with being patient and want to update your device with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat then you certainly can, by following our tutorial below.


(i) Make backup of all your data in case of a catastrophic event where things might not go as planned.

(ii) Use this guide for updating only and only Moto X-Force model of the phone and no other variant.

(iii) USB drivers should be installed on your computer.

How to install the official firmware Android 7.0 Nougat on Motorola X-Force:

Step 1: First off you have to connect your device using a USB cable with your computer and transfer the downloaded files to the internal storage’s root folder in your device.

Step 2: Next you have to disconnect your device from the computer once the transfer has been complete and turn off your phone to boot it into recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume up and down keys and the Power button simultaneously until the screen of the phone turns on.

Step 3: You can scroll down the menu by using the volume down button and select ‘Recovery’ by using the volume up key and this shall boot your device into recovery mode and there you have to select ‘Install update’ from the sd card of your phone.

Step 4: Select the file by using the Power button and start the installation process by confirming it.

Step 5: Once the installation has been completed you would have to go back to the recovery main menu selecting ‘Reboot system now’ and you are done.
