Update Nexus 5 to Android 7.1.2 Nougat
Android Nougat 7.1.2, was released by the tech giant Google, designed for all Nexus series of Pixel phones. This 7.1.2 AOSP firmware came out of the beta program which was announced months earlier this year.
This update comes with April patch level security and AOSP sources all updated to stable and new firmware, which were built under N2G47J. Google nexus five got left out of updates because the device has also been erased. Anyways, there’s still a way to update LG Nexus 5 to the Android 7.1.2 Nougat using the customized RO.Thanking the XDA developer guys who developed the new AOSP based custom ROM for the nexus 5.
The new ROM bases itself in firmware N2G47J, coming together with Android 7.1.2. Being an unofficial port, you can have expectations of bugs by its initial built. All of its very basic internet functions, built in are working just fine. Basic net stuff such as RIL, CAMERA, BLUETOOTH, and WI-FI, are already working in the perfect way.
We can name the Bluetooth function, camera, WiFi connection, and internet browsers. Its developer states the ROM’s a daily drive. meaning there are no big issues such as closing force, lags, etc. Sometimes, battery might drain all its energy but this will happen rarely. With a very practical restart, it might work well again. The newest AOSP ROM inherits every new feature from Google. Including, pixel launcher app, hortcuts and one very advanced multiple windows.
