Planning to update you Google Pixel XL with the latest Android 7.1.2 N2G47O, please follow the instructions that we have listed below. They will help update your phone on Android 7.1.2 N2G47O. Before we get to the main instructions, there are certain prerequisites that we have listed below. It is imperative for you to have or perform them.
USB drivers: Google Pixel XL latest USB drivers should be downloaded and installed on your system.
Backup: Since we are going to root your mobile phone, so it is highly recommended that you make a backup of your data. If something goes wrong during the process, at least you would have a backup of your data.

Step by Step Instructions:
⦁ The first step requires you to download Android 7.1.2 Factory image on your computer. Make sure that this image is specifically for your Pixel XL. To be precise the name of the file is marlin-n2g47o-factory-7150cd63.zip).
⦁ The second step is to connect your laptop or computer with your mobile phone via USB cable.
⦁ Then you need to ensure that fastboot is installed on your computer, also ensure that it is properly configured. This is an important step, so we would recommend that you double check it.
⦁ Switch off your Pixel XL
⦁ Turn it back on, but this time you need to get into the bootloader mode of your phone. In order to do so, press and hold the Volume Down along with Volume up and Power button till you see the start on top.
⦁ The files that you have downloaded above, you need to extract them now. After that, copy and paste all the files to your Fastboot directory. The files will be present in the sailfish-N2G47O folder.
Note: If you have used our tutorial in order to set up fastboot on your pc, we are sure that the fastboot directory is going to be the platform-tools folder in the SDK directory of your Android.
⦁ Go to the Fastloader directory, and from there look for factory files and perform the following steps. These steps depend on your PC’s operating system
⦁ Linux: Run “Flash-all.sh”
⦁ Mac: Run “Flash-all.sh” via Terminal
⦁ Window: Run “Flash-all.bat”

⦁ You are done flashing the files, it is time for you to wait and see until the process is completed. Follow the instructions that will appear on your screen. This will happen if your phone needs to unlock the bootloader.
⦁ After this, Google Pixel XL will reboot and it might take about 5 minutes, especially when you are booting for the first time.
