One thing that has to be kept in mind is that this tutorial is compatible with only the Moto G5S Plus.

Prerequisites for Unlocking Bootloader on Moto G5S Plus:
Below we have listed the things that you would need in order to unlock the bootloader on your Moto G5S Plus.
- The first thing to do is to install the latest USB drivers of on your PC.
- Then you have to download ADB along with Fastboot.
- Enabling the USB Debugging mode on your phone is also important.
- You should also have clockwork mode(TWRP, Custom Recovery) enabled on your Moto G5S Plus.
- It is imperative to make a backup of your data as everything on your phone will be deleted.
- Your phone’s battery should be equal or greater than 80 percent.
How to unlock Bootloader on Moto G5S Plus:
Below are the steps for unlocking the bootloader on your Moto G5S Plus.
Step 1: First of all you are supposed to go to the Motorola website and then go to the Bootloader unlock page.
Step 2: If you have either Google account or Motorola account, you are good to go. Otherwise you ought to sign up for an account and then sign in, which will take you to a page with instructions.
Step 3: You should have the ABD/Fastboot installed on your computer with the zip file extracted anywhere.
Step 4: Once this is done, you then need to turn your device off and start it in Bootloader mode by pressing Volume down and Power button simultaneously.

Step 11: You would receive an email containing the Unlock key. You would have to have your phone still connected to the computer and type in the following command in the prompt, ‘fastboot oem unlock Your_key’. You shall type in the string received in the email instead of ‘Your_key’.
Step 12: If all went well, you would have had the bootloader unlocked on your Motorola by now.
