iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has been around over 6 months now. Usually a new iPhone does’t really slow down that quickly but like every other mobile, there could be exceptions in iPhones as well. 

In case you you feel that your iPhone 7 or 7 plus has slowed down due to some troubled app, or it’s because of you have left 10’s of apps running at the background, means you need to apply these simple tips on your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus to sort your iPhone’s speeding problems.

1- You can turn off your UI animation tab by going into Settings >> General >> Accessibility >> and drag Reduce Motion bar towards the left to turn it off.

2- Always keep an eye on software updates by going into iPhone’s Settings >> General >> Software Updates and update your software the moment you see a new update. Some users face some performance problems due to not updating. Apple is more aware than everyone else using who are using the Apple device, about what’s missing and what’s messing with iPhone’s performance so they always fix any bugs or any issues the present iOS is facing in the next update.

3- To reset your phone every now and then can also speed up your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus. And it’s one of the easiest thing to do, to speed up your iPhone. All you have to do is press and hold sleep and home button together and the iPhone will reset and most probably will have better speed.

4- You also need to keep a check on the background apps as we mentioned in our intro. Some apps can go rogue while running at the background and can significantly dent the speeding process of your iPhone 7 mobiles. You need to disable background access to apps so they cant run on the background. You can do that by going into iPhone’s Settings >> General >> Background App Refresh. Drag the bar in front of the specific app which you think are damaging your iPhone performance towards left to disable it.

5- Clearing app cache is also very beneficial for your iPhone 7 and 7 plus performance. Apple doesn’t offer much to clear the app cache in its operating system. So you will have to do it yourself, by going into every app manually. You can see how much space an app is taking by going into your iPhone Settings >> General >> Storage & iCloud Storage. You will need to delete the app to clear the app cache as that is the only way to clear the cache. You can install it right after deleting it but deleting the app will remove the app cache from your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus and will speed up your phone’s performance.

6- If nothing above works for speeding up your iPhone 7’s performance then the last hope is to reset your iPhone. You will have to restore your Apple device to a new stage. Everything will have to be deleted including all apps and data. You iPhone will be as new as when you bought it, completely empty and fast like before. You will have to hassle to restore all your data and media files from your iCloud so make sure you backup all your files. Go to Settings >> General >> Reset. Select Erase all Content and Settings.
