Ringtones used to be the best thing about mobile phones. That was a time before the smartphones with nice and cool ringtones came along. Although you start to get tired of any new ringtones really quickly, and can be on the look for a new ringtone in no time. Now you can even set different songs as your ringtones.
Creating a new ringtone is always fun, you can even set different ringtones for different contacts which is pretty cool. Putting a song as your ring tone is quite a trend now a days, also a bit complicated process, if you have never done it before.
So AndroiiOSPack decided to bring you a tutorial which will help you turn any song in your iTunes library into a custom ringtone on your iPhone in these easy steps.
Step 1- Select the song from your ITunes list. Your ringtone is going to be only a 30 seconds audio clip of the song so choose wisely in next step.
Step 2- In next step, you need to right-click on the song from your iTunes list, which you want to set as your ringtone, select “Get Info” and select “Options” and look for “Start” and “Stop”. This is the point mentioned in step 1. You will need to select the 30 seconds part of the song by clicking “start and stop”. Press OK when you are done with selecting.
Step 3- Next you need to create AAC version of the song. Right-click on the song and select AAC version in the scroll down options. The AAC version will also be saved in your iTunes list along with the original version.
Step 4- Next step is to right-click on AAC version of the clip you selected and select “Show in Finder” from the options.
Step 5- Once the Finder Folder is opened, right click on the newly created clip of your song and select “Get Info” from scroll down options.
Step 6- Look for “Name and Extension” and underneath that option, change the extension for ” .m4a ” to ” .m4r ” and save changes.
Step 7- Save the file and drag it to your desktop.
Step 8- Now you need to connect your iPhone with a computer via a USB cable. Open iTune and click on 3 dots next your phone and click “Tones” from the drop down options.
Step 9- Drag the tone from your desktop to the tones sections.

Step 10- Next you need to click on the iPhone icon and go to Tones >> Sync Tone >> Selected Tones >>> Select Your Tone >>> Sync Your Device.
Step 11- Now grab your iPhone, go to Settings >>> Sounds >>> Ringtones and the new ringtone you just created out of your favorite song should be right at the top of the ringtones.
That’s it. You have created a ringtone out of your song you love.
