Step 1: Download JDK

The first thing that you need, is the JDK kit on your Mac computer. This is important as it is required to run the weServer program. You need to make sure that you have a Mac computer. With the weServer the app isn’t going to work. Most of you would already have JDK, in case you don’t, you can download the Java JDK from here.

Download JDK for the macOS version. Since the file is big, therefore it is going to take some time. Only when you have JDK on your PC you will be able to receive or send iMessages on Android.

Step 2: To Send and receive iMessages on Android you will have to give Permissions

For the weServer to run properly, it is imperative that you give the Terminal Accessibility permission. Reason being, the app tends to run inside the terminal. To give permission, go to System Preference, from there look for Security & Privacy and click on the Privacy tab. Then head to Accessibility option inside the menu, you need to look for the terminal. It will be present in the list to the right, make sure it is checked if not check it and you are good to go.

The next thing that you need to do is to set up the iMessage account with the weServer. When you open the terminal, it is going to regarding iMessage account details. The email id should be the same as the one you use to iMessage, however for a password you can do, as you like.

Step 5: To Send and receive iMessages on Android Install WeMessage

It is time to install the weMessage app on your smartphone. You can go to Goole Play store and search for the weMessage app. Once you find it download it on your phone, after that you need to open it. The app is going to ask for the IP address, weServer password, and iMessage email address. You can choose either a private or a public IP of your mac.

Step 6: Find the IP

You can use the private IP address if your Mac is connected to the same network as the weMessage app. However, if it is not, you need to use the public IP address. To use a private IP address, open System Preferences and double-click on Network. To go to TCP/IP  tab you will have to click on the advanced option. There you will find the private IP address, use that on the weMessage app login page.

For the Public address, you will have to do some digging. Every router has a different way to handle this particular issue, so you will need to search Google for it. Once you find it, you then have to enter that on the login page.

Step 7: To Send and receive iMessages on Android Log in

After you obtain and enter the IP address, you need to login in the tap to enjoy sending iMessages. To check if things are working, you will see the weServer on your Mac showing your android device. You might not be able to see your old iMessages, but all the new ones will be there.

Step 8: Sync your Contacts with we Message

To sync the contacts, give permission to Mac’s Terminal. It will access your contacts and then sync them. You will have to tap on the settings in weMessage and then tap on Sync contact option. It will be present on the top-left corner.

Step 9: Starting sending and receiving iMessages

To fully use this android Tweak, you need to start a conversation. Tap on the Plus icon, and you will see the list of contact. Select one or you can enter the number manually. Now enter your message at the bottom and hit sent to instigate the conversation.

NOTE: Make sure that the weServer is always running in order to enjoy the weMessage app.
