Huawei is quickly becoming a brand name for designing average range smartphones and in January 2017 yet another smartphone Huawei P8 Lite was released by the company and it’s still going strong. It has also the decent features that any smartphone user would want to have or experience. 

Android users have the bounty of customizing their smartphones to heir accord and that’s what Huawei P8 Lite user would want too. Installing TWRP on your device will unleash the real magic of this beautiful smartphone and the next step would be rooting your device.

One thing that has to be kept in mind is that this tutorial is compatible with only the Huawei P8 Lite variant PRA-LX1. Since all the smartphones come in variants, every tutorial is not for every variant of the device.

(i) The bootloader should be unlocked on your Huawei P8 Lite.

(ii) USB debugging mode and OEM unlocking must be enabled.

(iii) Your phone should be charged at least 60% to 65%.

(iv) USB drivers for Huawei should be installed in your computer.

(v) Make back up of all your data or at least the necessary one.

How to root your Huawei P8 Lite PRA-LX1:

1 Copy/paste the downloaded SuperSu Zip file in your smartphone and boot it into recovery mode by holding and pressing the Power button and Volume down key together.

2 TWRP recovery menu shall appear on the screen and you should tap on ‘Install’ selecting the moved Zip file in your device.

3 For confirming you should swipe towards right and the installation process shall commence.

4 Select Wipe Dalvik/Cache once the installation process has been completed.

5 Lastly, reboot your device and enjoy the fruit of your hard work.
