Pre-requisites to Root Motorola Moto E4:

There are a couple of things that you need to do or download before you get down to the actual process to root Motorola Moto E4

  1. It is imperative for you to create a backup of your data. If you want to save your pictures and other mobile data, make a backup of it. There is a possibility that you might have to wipe clean your phone during the rooting process. So, it is better to be safe than sorry.
  2. Do not forget to unlock the bootloader of your phone. It will lead to series of problems during the rooting process.
  3. You have to install the latest version of a custom recovery like TWRP on your mobile phone.
  4. You need to enable the USB debugging mode on your mobile phone. To enable this mode, go to Settings and then tap on Developer options.
  5. Before you enable the USD debugging mode, you will have to enable the Developer Options mode. You can do that by going to Settings, Developer Options, About Phone. Now tap on the Built number till you get the “you are a developer” message.

The Complete Guide to root  Motorola Moto E4:

Below is the complete guideline on how to root Motorola Moto E4.  Please read each step carefully before implementing them.

Step 1: The first thing that you need to do is swipe clean your phone. You can do that by entering the Recovery mode on your phone and choosing the Wipe Data Factory Reset Option. This is followed by the Wipe Cache Partition option and then by the Wipe Davik Cache option.

Step 2: Now you have to go back to the main recovery mode. Once in the mode, you need to select the Reboot option.

Step 3: It is time for you to download the files that we mentioned above. The Magisk v14 file and the no-verity-opt-encrypt file. Once you download these files, then proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Once the files are downloaded, you then have to connect your mobile phone to your PC via a USB cable. It is recommended that you use the original USB cable.

Step 5: Copy the files that you downloaded in step 3 and paste them into the root folder of the SD card of your mobile phone. Now that you are done with copying pasting, simply disconnect your phone.

Step 6:  Switch your phone off and turn it back on by entering the recovery mode.

Step 7:  To start the flashing process, tap on Install and then pick the no-verity-opt-encrypt file. Now simply swipe to instigate the process.

Step 8: Now that you are done installing the no-verity-opt-encrypt file, it is time for you to install the Magisk v14 file. To do so, you have to repeat Step 7.

Step 9: Once all the files are installed, head back to the main menu of the recovery mode. From there opt for the Reboot option.

That is it, you are done. Your phone is successfully rooted. To ensure that your phone is rooted, please download the Root check app from Google Play Store.
