You have to be in the recovery mode for updating your device or flashing stock firmware or a custom ROM etc etc. You can enter the recovery mode with the ADB installed in your Mac OS X. We will guide you step by step on how to enter your Huawei P10 into recovery mode in this manner.

How to enter into recovery mode in Huawei P10 using ADB installed in Mac OS X:

1 First off ADB/USB drivers should be installed on your computer.

2 Now connect your Huawei P10 with your Mac using a USB cable.

3 Next launch the Terminal app on your Mac and type in this command “/<PATH>/android-sdk-macosx/platform-tools/adb reboot recovery” and then press Enter.

**<path> should be the location where you have stored your Android SDK.

Your device will turn itself off and boot into recovery mode.
