How to Enter Fastboot Mode on Google Pixel

Google has finally launched another one of this masterpiece. People are already going crazy after the phone. With the latest Android UI, the phone is perhaps one of the best smartphone you will come across.

The Android is pretty clean and efficient, yet it is imperative that you know how to get into the fastboot mode of Google Pixel. Of course it is the only place where you can manually flash different files and firmware. The easiest way to access is using combination of certain buttons on your phone, but you can access this method via your computer with the help of several commands. In the course of this article, we will be teaching you both ways of accessing the fastboot mode of your Googel Pixel.

Note: An important thing to remember is here that you should have enabled USB debugging mode on you phone and USB drivers for Google Pixel should be installed on your system.

What exactly Fastboot Mode is?

In lame man terms we can say that Fastboot mode is basically a maintenance mode that is built in the phone for upgrading and diagnostic purpose. This mode is for developers, but if you think you are okay with fiddling with your mobile phone. You should access this particular mode. You can only install firmware, however there is a neat trick. This trick is limited on to Google devices. It allows you to access other system modes, but first you need to know how to get into the fastboot mode. Even if you want to get into the recovery mode, you first need to get in the fastboot mode.

The best thing is that you don’t lose your warranty if you boot into this boot. But flashing firmware that are not authorized by google will make you lose your warranty. So, we highly recommend not messing with your phone when you are not good with Android protocol layers and computers.

How to Enter Fastboot -Method.1:

Below are the steps that will help you enter the fastboot mode using Google Pixel buttons.

Step 1- Switch off your smartphone.

Step 2- Turn it back on by pressing and holding the power button along with the volume down and the volume up button.

Step 3- Your phone’s screen will boot into a screen that will have a big start writing on it. This is it, you can now connect your phone with your computer and use the fastboot tools to access it.

How to enter fastboot using Android SDK- Method. 2:

Step 1- Start with download the Android SDK file and set it up with the USB drivers package and download platform-tools in the SDK.

Step 2-  Download the ADB package, this package depends upon the operating system that you are using. Once downloaded, please extract it anywhere on your computer.

Step 3-  Enable the USB debugging mode.

Step 4 –  Now you need to open Command prompt window from android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory. Once you get there, press shift button and click on any empty space in the directory, then open command prompt. This if you are done with Step 1.

Step 5-  Now if you did Step 2, you need to go to the place where you extracted the downloaded package and open the command prompt by holding the shift key and right clicking.

Step 6- Type “adb reboot bootloader” into the command window and hit enter.

Step 7-  Your phone will get turned off and it will root into the fastboot mode.

If you wish to go back to the normal mode just select the first option. Remember the volume up button acts as selection button while the volume down button is used for navigation.
