After completing above steps, Dropbox now will delete the cached data files on your iOS device. This will not remove any of your data or files from your account, it just deletes the items that are cached on your local device storage. By clearing the cache, it also means that some files may take longer to load as they no longer exist in the cache.

Note: With the use of Dropbox again means, the cache will grow in size again. There’s no option to disable caching, but it’s not a big issue as it won’t take up much space unless you download very large files.
The best practice is that you should always keep on eye your device memory and app storage.
