The notch design in many of the latest smartphones is not being welcomed by the users. The notch actually gives the whole screen display more space and the display goes almost to the edge of the phone which in turn agitates the users. Some mobile phone producing companies have set a default feature in their devices where the unhappy user can easily disable the nagging notch feature. But this is not the case with most of the smartphone brands where one has to either live with the notch on their screen or use a third party app to disable the notch. Although it is not a tough task to disable the notch on Android devices but you still would have to follow a few steps in order to do so.

The notch is not necessarily a nuisance because it is an essential part of the smartphone’s screen where the notch has to fit in with most of the sensors present in the device. The only problem is that the cut-out screens for larger display irritate the users because they are forced to look at display which is going to the edges. So without delaying any further let’s see how we can disable the notch on Android devices using the Nacho Notch app, which is one of the many third party apps available for the same sane purpose.

How to disable the notch on Android devices:

Step 1- First of all you will have to download and install the Nacho Notch app from Google play store and install it on your smartphone.

Step 2- You will need to grant permissions here and there once the app has been installed because it would be constantly running in the background.

Step 3- Next you will be required to pull down twice the notification shade in order to enable the notch disabling feature. When you will pull it down twice you shall see the edit button. Tap on it.

Step 4- You will need to drag the ‘Hide notch’ toggle towards the active toggles panel and simply tap on it to disable the notch.

You should now experience less bezels and in case you want to go back to your previous setting, you only have to deactivate the toggle.
