Call recording is a means of getting back to a conversation later on when you need to get deeper with facts and figures. To our surprise none of the mobile phone companies and the operating systems give us the call recording option by default in our smartphones.

There are many an apps available which can be used for this very purpose of recording a call but they are not fully user interface compatible. Huawei P10+, however, is the only smartphone so far on which a button for call recording can be added manually that shall enable you to record an ongoing call even. One of the members of XDA has recently designed and developed a mod for the call recording button on Huawei P10+ and here is how you can do it.

Requirements:

(i) USB debugging mode should be enabled on your phone.

(ii) TWRP recovery should be installed and your phone should be rooted.

(iii) Your phone should be charged at least up to 70% to 75%.

(iv) Huwaei P10 USB drivers should be installed on your computer.

How to add a button for call recording on Huawei P10+:

1 First of all you should download P10_Callrecorder.zip from here.

2 Using a USB cable, connect your phone with the computer and then copy the downloaded file on the SD card.

3 Next turn your phone off and remove the USB cable and get your phone in to recovery mode by turning your phone on by holding and pressing Power button and Volume up+down keys simultaneously.

4 Next go to the main menu in recovery mode tapping on ‘Install’ and then selecting the downloaded file ‘P10_Callrecorder.zip‘ and begin the installation process.

5 Once the process is complete, go back to main screen, selecting ‘Reboot system now’.
