AI is becoming the forefront of innovation, it seems that not only computer but smartphones are also being incorporating AI in them. Huawei understands the importance of AI and thus it has already worked on the idea of AI-based smartphones. In fact, they have come up with their first AI-based smartphone. Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Huawei Mate 10 was just released today by the Chinese tech giant. The smartphone is going to have Kirin 970 and it comes with the neural processing unit.
Huawei’s flagship devices, Huawei Mate tend to follow this year’s flagship trend. They are coming with a full view display. Both Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 are going to have full view screen, but there is a difference in terms of display quality and resolution.

Design and Display of Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10:
Mate 10 comes with a 5.9-inch display screen that has an aspect ratio of 16:9. Mate 10 Pro on the other hands has a 6.0-inch screen with Full HD + AMOLED panel, having an aspect ratio of 18:9. You can take advantage of apps like Netflix and Youtube as both phones support HDR 10. The fingerprint scanner of Mate 10 is placed into the small bezel beneath the display, whereas the Mate 10 Pro has it the traditional way.
There is little difference between Mate 9 and Mate 10 in terms of design. Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 feels smaller than their display sizes suggest. To improve the in-hand feel, Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro comes with subtle curves. The best thing is that both devices as Kirin 970 as a processor. Kirin 970 will use its custom NPU to apply the AI world around you. You will first notice it in the camera sensor mode.

Both devices have next generation dual camera. They have 12MP RGB sensor with OIS as the front camera and the secondary camera is a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro comes with a range of modes that include wide-aperture mode, portrait mode and much more. 4-in-1 hybrid zooms let you incorporate additional data because of the monochrome sensor.
Memory and Other Features of Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10:
If you ask us, we will say that both devices come with specs befitting a 2017 smartphone. There is a bit of difference between them, for instance, the standard Mate 10 has a 4 GB RAM, whereas Mate 10 Pro comes with a 4/ 6 GB RAM. Likewise, Mate 10 is expandable up to 64 GB, but Mate 10 Pro does not come with the expandable option. Mate 10 Pro is water and dust resists, this is something that is amiss from standard Huawei Mate 10.
You might think that both phones are same under the hood, but they do have their difference. The Huawei Mate 10 has a 3.5 mm audio jack that supports 1 Gbps data speed. This means the phones will be charged up to 58 percent in just 30 minutes.
The most polarizing feature of Huawei smartphones is the EMUI interface. This time Huawei is jumped straight to EMUI 8 in order to blend well with Android 8.0 Oreo. The parts of the interface are designed keeping in mind the AI-first approach.
You will have to wait for a full review in order to learn more about the AI benefits. But it seems that you will be able to see these benefits during day-to-day use. The NPU will understand and react to the context of the user and it will recommend accordingly. For instance, when reading a book NPU will enable the Eye comfort mode, likewise, when taking a picture the f business card, the NPU will offer to scan it into your phone book.
The company has announced that they have collaborated with Microsoft to develop Bing translator. This translation app will be a part of the Huawei Mate 10 and it will let you translate text. Not only this, the camera will be able to translate signs and objects in real-time using NPU. To increase the phones appeal to the business users, they are working on the addition of a single-cable projection, this will let you use your smartphone as PC. To enjoy the PC-like experience, you can connect a Bluetooth mouse or a keyboard.
Mate 10 will be available in Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, Pink Gold and Black. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be available in Pink Gold, Titanium Gray, Mocha Brown and Midnight Blue.
