Recovery mode is an essential part of the process where the users want to install an update on their devices. Most of the custom ROMs that are developed and launched by the designers are not official. The reason such updates are not available to every user around the globe is that these firmware are only released via OTA. So without any further delay let’s get you to the three different methods of entering into recovery mode (TWRP Recovery) in Nokia 8.

How to enter into recovery mode in Nokia 8 using ADB installed in Mac OS X:

Step 1- First off ADB/USB drivers should be installed on your computer.

Step 2- Now connect your device with your Mac using a USB cable.

Step 3- Next launch the Terminal app on your Mac and type in this command “/<PATH>/android-sdk-macosx/platform-tools/adb reboot recovery” and then press Enter.

**<path> should be the location where you have stored your Android SDK.

Step 4- Your device will turn itself off and boot into recovery mode.

How to enter Nokia 8 into recovery mode using ADB on Windows:

Step 1- First off ADB/USB drivers should be installed on your computer.

Step 2- Now connect your device to the computer using a USB cable.

Step 3- Go to ‘android-sdk-windows\platform-tools’ directory and launch the command prompt by doing this ->Shift +Right-click anywhere in the folder >> Open Command Prompt.

Step 4- Type this command in the prompt ‘adb reboot recovery’ and press Enter. Your phone will turn off after this and will boot into recovery mode.

How to enter into recovery mode in Nokia 8 using hardware buttons:

Step 1- First of all, turn off your Nokia 8 mobile.

Step 2- Connect your Nokia 8 device with your personal computer once powered off.

Step 3- Wait until your Nokia 8 screen reaches battery animation after Powered by Android image on your screen.

Step 4- Press and hold the power button +  volume up button at the same time.

Step 5- You will see a countdown start showing a message  “Please release key to power off..”  option pop up. You need to ignore this and keep pressing the both buttons. 

Step 6- Once the countdown stops, your Nokia 8 will be in Recovery Mode.
