The entire communication process has been revolutionized thanks to the internet. Instead of waiting for days to send and receive letters, you can use email to serve the purpose. Letters took days to reach, emails on the hand other takes few seconds.

To further enhance the electronic mail process, apps have been developed. These apps are incorporated in almost every piece of technology used for communication. Smartphones being the best source of communication also have these apps installed in them.

iPhone has an inbuilt email app through which you can send and receive emails anytime you want. To further simplify the replying process, you can now enable notifications of the replies sent to a certain thread. Below, we have listed the steps that you teach you how to enable the Email Reply Notification feature on your iPad and iPhone.

Enabling Email Reply Notification on iPad and iPhone

Step 1: Look for the Mail app on your iPad or iPhone.

Step 2: Once the app is launched, open the email thread for which you want to get notified.

  • To enable notifications for a recently sent mail, you would have to first go to the SENT folder and open the email.

Step 3: Once you have opened the email, look for the flag icon. It is normally present at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4:  When you tap on the flag icon, a small menu will pop up. Tap on the Notify Me option. This would open another Notify Me option, tap on it too.

How to Disable Email Notification

In-case you no longer want to receive notification regarding a particular thread, you can easily disable the option. To do so, follow the steps listed below.

Step 1: Open the Mail app on your iPad or iPhone.

Step 2: Once the app is launched, open the email thread for which you want to get notified.

  • To enable notifications for a recently sent mail, you would have to first go to the SENT folder and open the email.

Step 3: Once you have opened the email, look for the flag icon. It is normally present at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4:  When you tap on the flag icon, a small menu will pop up. From there you need to select the Stop Notifying option.

This is it, you have disabled to notification feature on that particular thread.
