Owning one of these Fitbit devices can really make it easy for you to keep a track of your health. Whoever owned a Fitbit device, might have come across one or the other problems that we have listed below.

Since Fitbit trackers sync using a Bluetooth, and this technology can become unreliable at times. Therefore, there is always a chance that one comes across such a problem. In case you are facing this particular problem, you don’t have to worry. Below we have listed the potential solutions for this dilemma.
Ensure that the Fitbit app is properly installed on your phone and the Bluetooth is enabled. Another thing that you need to check is that you are trying to connect your Fitbit to an enabled Bluetooth device.
Make sure that you have enabled the Always Connected option in your Fitbit app. To enable this option, go to Fitbit app, tap on Account>Tracker and look for the Always Connected toggle. This is usually placed at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it.
The All-Day Sync option of the Fitbit app should be enabled. If it is disabled, you should activate it by going to Fitbit>account>tracker>All-Day Sync toggle turned on.

In case your smartphone is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow or later, you would have to first manually give the permission to the Fitbit app to look for the Bluetooth device. You can do this, by going to your phone’s Setting, from there to Apps or Application and lastly choose the Fitbit app. Then you select Permissions and turn on the toggle.
Besides this, it is important that the location service of your phone is turned on as this will make the Bluetooth device scanning efficient. To enable this feature, you should go the Settings of your phone, then select Privacy and Safety and lastly Location. Now toggle on the location feature.
Try force stopping your Fitbit app in order to get rid of this problem. To do so, you need to go to Setting, from there to Apps, your Fitbit app and finally Tap on Force Stop.
Sometimes the problem lies with the Bluetooth and not the app. We suggest that you turn your Bluetooth off and then turn it back on. To do this, head to Settings, from there to Bluetooth and toggle on or off.
Still, nothing works, restart your phone.
Even if restarting doesn’t help, we suggest you reinstall your app.
Another problem that people often face with their Fitbit device is that they are unable to receive notification from their Android devices. If you are facing this problem, you either need to restart the app or fiddle with the Bluetooth settings.

Since you already know that Fitbit connects to Android-using Bluetooth, therefore, it is important that you stay within 20 feet of your smartphone. As this will ensure a strong and reliable connection between both devices. The long distance between devices can also cause this problem.
Ensure that to only one Bluetooth device is connected to your phone when you are using Fitbit with it. There is a high possibility that you are facing this problem due to the connection of the other Bluetooth device.
Due to an unstable connection, there is are high chances that you receive delayed notification. To resolve this problem, go to your Fitbit App, from there select Account, then to Tracker, tap on Call and text notification and ensure if the Enable notification settings are enabled.
Fitbit Surge users: you have to go to setting and ensure that the notification set is enabled.
Fitbit Blaze users: press and hold the button located at the top right, this will ensure that Notification set is enabled.
Your phone should not be in the Do Not Disturb mode.
Turn on and off your Bluetooth, go to setting, from there to Bluetooth and turn on or off the toggle.
First restart your app, if the problem still persists restart your mobile device.
If nothing works, we suggest you uninstall the Fitbit app and install it again.

We understand how irritating it becomes when your Fitbit app is not properly charged in the morning and you are ready for your daily exercise. Below we have listed some solutions for this issue.
Accumulated dust in the charging cable can prevent your device from being charged properly. It is important that you keep the charging cable clean.
If a particular port is not working, try connecting with other USB port. You can either use a simple USB input on your computer of a UL-certified wall charger. We suggest that you do not try to charge your Fitbit device using a USB Hub.
For your device to charge correctly, make sure that it’s pin are properly lined with the charging cable.
Try restarting your Fitbit app, if the problem still persists, then we believe it is time for you to change the charger.
Quick View and Tap Recognition Issues
The modern devices are coming with enhanced Quick View feature i.e. the display of your Fitbit device will automatically turn on when you will raise your wrist. Likewise, with tap recognition, you can swipe through your daily stats using a tap instead of the traditional swiping.
Sadly, a number of Fitbit devices are having a problem with their tap recognition and Quick View feature. Below are some potential solutions for these problems.
Quick View Solutions
The first thing that you need to do is check is the Quick view feature is enabled on your Fitbit device. Head to Setting, from there to Account>Tracker and toggle the Quick View on. This will hopefully resolve your problem.
If you are still facing issues with your Quick View, it might be because you are not wearing your Fitbit device on the correct wrist. You need to make sure that the wrist placement is correct. If you are right-handed, choose the right wrist and vice versa. To do this, go to Fitbit app, account, tracker, handedness and check which wrist replacement. Then ensure that you wear it on the same wrist.

Tap Recognition Solutions:
It is important that you tap in the correct place, Fitbit recommends tapping at the bottom of the display where the band and the tracker meet for faster response. Also, ensure that your tap is neither too hard nor too soft.
If there is a delay between your tap and the device response time, it is perfectly okay. All you have to do is slow down your taping so that the device has efficient time to complete one instruction before following another one.
If you are unable to update your Fitbit device, you don’t have to worry. You can always restart the device, or try syncing it with other computer or mobile devices.
If you are unable to update your Fitbit device, restart it.
If the problem still persists, try restarting your mobile phone.
You are unable to sync your Fitbit device with your smartphone, then you should try removing the Bluetooth connection from your phone. To do this, go to setting>look for Fitbit device and tap on Forget.
Try updating your device via another computer or phone.
Still facing the problem, remove your Fitbit device from the Fitbit account. When you are using a mobile phone, go to Fitbit account>your device>remove this device.
If you are using a computer, open Fitbit website, log in using your account details. Now look for the gear icon, it is usually present at the top-right corner of the screen. Click on it to open Setting, then look for devices and choose the device that you want to remove. Once done, it is time to add your Fitbit device back and to do so, choose Set up a device under the account portion and follow the on-screen instructions.

Silent Alarm Stopped Working issues
The silent alarm feature is perhaps one of the most important features of a Fitbit device. If your silent alarm is not working, then there is very little that you can do. But still, try giving the solutions listed below a shot.
Ensure that the silent alarm is enabled on your device. Go to Fit app, account, Fitbit device and select Silent Alarm.
Still facing the same problem, below are the test for your Fitbit vibration motor.
Fitbit Blaze: Tap on the Timer screen, Stopwatch and lastly the play icon. Your tracker should vibrate.
Fitbit Alta: Plug the charging cable in a USB port on your PC and then clip Alta to it. To check vibration, press the button on the charging cable.
Fitbit Charger 2: Plug your cable into a USB port, and then clip your charger 2 on it. When you connect the cable, the tracker will vibrate.
Fitbit Charge and Charge HR: When you enter the exercise mode, the tracker vibrates. To enter this mode, press and hold the side button.
Fitbit Flex 2: Plug your cable into a USB port on your computer, remove the tracker from the wristband and then clip it on the charging cable, it should vibrate.
Fitbit Flex: When the tracker enters the sleep mode, it vibrates. Try entering the sleep mode by tapping on the row lights of the Fitbit device.
Fitbit Surge: When you plug your Surge into a charging cable that is already connected to your computer via USB cable, the tracker is bound to vibrate.
Fitbit One: Clipping your One into a charging cable that is connected to your PC via USB port will make the tracker vibrate.

Fitbit Band Breaks
If your Fitbit band is breaking, it is time that you take advantage of the company’s warranty policy. In case you are out of warranty, you can always get a new band. If you own a Fitbit Alta, Flex 2, Charge 2 and Blaze you don’t have to replace the whole unit when the band is breaking, only the band needs replacement.
You can get a full refund within the first 45 days of the purchase, so if something goes wrong within these days, simply get it replaced for free. This is possible if you ordered the device from Fitbit.com.
