If you want to get hard-wired directly into the device or want the Bluetooth wireless audio system, OnePlus 5 has got you covered in this aspect too. The latest flagship has kept the 3.5mm headphone jack in their latest device but the thing is that it is not the only option available and you can choose from three different varieties of the audio codecs.
You can barely get through your day without using any of the audio settings and it is a necessity for any smartphone user and to suit your specific needs, this is how you can choose your desired audio codec in OnePlus 5.
How to choose your audio codec in OnePlus 5:
Step 1- First of all you will have to go to Settings.
Step 2- Next you have to tap on the ‘Advanced’ option at the very bottom of the page.
Step 3- There you will be able to select ‘Bluetooth Audio codec’ down below on the page.

Step 4- Three options will appear there named ‘aptX’, ‘aptX HD’ and ‘SBC’. The default option ‘aptX’ will be chosen already but you can choose the codec as you like and need.
You do not necessarily have to change these options but it is always handy to have an open mind in case you get to require a new option or simply want to experiment with your device’s settings.
