Deleting the temporary files often resolve such issues, so before doing anything dramatic, we suggest you restart your phone. Switch it off and turn it back on. There is a high possibility that does this will resolve the error.

  1. To turn off Google Pixel 2, press and hold the power button
  2. Tap on Power Off option.
  3. Now the phone is off, turn it on by pressing and hold the Power button again.

It seems that the MusicFX app is the one to blame in most cases. A lot of users have resolved the problem by clearing Google Pixel 2 MuiscFX temporary files. Clearing temporary files does not mean that you are going to lose your music data, it only means that the temporary system files are removed. Often doing this will fix the problem.

  1. Launch the Settings App.
  2. Go to See All Apps under Apps & Notification.
  3. In the app list, look for MusicFX app.
  4. Tap on the app, then on Storage> Clear Cache button.

Deleting the cache often resolves the problem, but in case if it did not, you will have to take a form firm step. You might have to disable the MusicFX app altogether. To disable the app, follow the steps below.

  1. Launch the Settings app on your Phone.
  2. Go to See All Apps under Apps and Notification.
  3. Tap on MusicFX from the list.

Booting your phone into the safe mode often helps you identify the real culprit. So, before you go on losing all your data we highly recommend that you boot your phone into safe mode. In Safe mode, all third-party apps are disabled. It means if any third party app is causing the problem, you would know right away. To boot your Google Pixel 2 in safe mode, follow the steps below.

  1. Turn off your phone by pressing and holding the Power button on your phone.
